Ed and Dorothy Buechel have lived at the former site of the Annis Mill at 729 Valley Road, Brooktondale, since 1952. When they purchased the house in the photograph, the Annis Mill was already gone. Ed says the mill was both a gristmill and a sawmill. After moving to the property, Ed discovered a circular saw blade at the site of the mill.1
